Endowment Fund

The Legacy and Endowment Fund has served the congregation of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church, other churches in the Presbytery of Northern Waters, and the greater community of Duluth, Minnesota, since 1968.

The Fund offers two scholarship programs, loans to Glen Avon Church’s postsecondary students, capital grants to small churches in the Presbytery, and funding to support an annual Church Leadership Seminar.  By offering these programs, Glen Avon ministers to its own church family, to worthy postsecondary students in Duluth public schools who have overcome a challenge in their lives, and also to congregations, seminary students, and church leaders throughout the Presbytery. 

The Fund has grown financially over the years because of the generous gifts of individuals who have shared the Fund Committee and the Session’s belief that support for these worthy programs benefits our greater community.
