MAUNDY THURSDAY SERVICE
To ponder the depth of meaning in the Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles and his subsequent betrayal and denial and abandonment by them, the Glen Avon community gathers for worship on Maundy Thursday. The word, "maundy," comes from the Latin phrase, mandatum nuovo (meaning "new commandment") alluding to the new commandment which Jesus gave to the apostles that night.
